Cardano · engineering
A small skunkworks for the Cardano ecosystem.
Defrag builds the unglamorous parts — the indexers, the community tools, the archives. Some of it ships to thousands of people. Some of it never leaves the bench. All of it is on the record.
What we work on
Community tooling
Discord apps, holder tools, marketplaces and explorers — the surfaces Cardano communities actually use, built to run cheap and stay up.
Infrastructure
Indexers, data services and the worker plumbing behind them: the layer that turns public chain data into something an app can rely on.
Preservation
Mirrors, archives and block stores, so collection data and public records outlive the services that happened to produce them.
On the bench
hodlcroft
Collector and trader tools for Cardano, served from hodlcroft.com.
-
Peer-to-peer NFT trading. Two collectors open a shared session, agree on the assets, and settle an atomic swap — no escrow, no smart contract, each side signing from their own wallet.
-
Per-collection ownership and trait index — who holds what, browsable by trait and rarity, and queryable as an API.
-
Wallet UTxO defragmentation. Rewrites a scattered wallet into fewer UTxOs, so later transactions build on a cleaner set.
defrag
Properties we build and operate.
-
A Discord app for Cardano NFT communities — holder tools, games and rewards, configured per server and added by its admins.
-
A culture token and an ongoing deadpan documentary of real Ufology, filed on-chain and narrated by a mildly overworked alien.
